FREDDY VS. JASON: ALPHA/OMEGA

by

Frederick William Springer III

INT. HELL- NIGHT

At the core of this hell is a boiler room scenario, with many hot steamy
pipes going every which way, chains dangling, and a metal grate floor.
There is one sub level and another semi-level above the main floor. The
ground is littered with various bones and skulls, much aged, none that
would make a skeleton that would stand more than 5 feet high.

Further out in this boiler room, the metal grate floor begins to mesh
into dirt, leading into a small stretch of woods on all sides. Beyond
the woods is a body of water, which is contained on the outskirts of
this circular hell by large high mountain cliffs, with sharp edges
jutting from all sides. Over these huge boulders are dark clouds and
STRIKING LIGHTNING. Nothing is visible past them. Waterfalls of fire
flood down in several spots.

FREDDY and JASON are facing each other in the core, a safe distance
apart. Freddy is leaning against a rail, and slightly WHEEZING, trying
not to let on how drained he has become. Jason is holding himself up by
a chain in his left hand, slumped against a boiler. You can tell that
the fight has gone on for sometime now and, by the posture and attitude
both exude, that neither of them will ever give up.

Jason looks up at the chain as he pulls himself up. When he looks back
in Freddy's direction, Freddy is no longer there. Jason takes a few
steps forward. He looks left and looks right.

Suddenly, a blade taps on the back of Jason's right shoulder. Jason
slowly turns around to the right as Freddy sneakily tiptoes around
behind Jason on Jason's left, unbeknownst to Jason. Jason again looks
left and looks right finding no one.

Freddy taps Jason on the shoulder a second time. This time Jason
swiftly turns around, machete extended. Freddy ducks however, only
losing his hat to the blade. Jason has swung so hard that the blade
breaks upon impact of the boiler.

Freddy springs up and swats his claws across Jason's face, delivering a
hard blow that knocks off Jason's hockey mask. Jason's face, or what's
left of it, is ash in color. The area around his eye sockets have
deeply sunken in, his good eye set far back. His nose has rotted off.
Skin has withered away in some areas, the bone showing through. Jason
looks like a poorly preserved mummy.

Freddy smiles.

				FREDDY
Ahh. Only a face a mother could love.

INT. HOUSE- DAY- JASON'S FLASHBACK

A young seven-year-old Jason is looking out the front window in the
livingroom at the passing parade and its onlookers, circa 1951.

EXT. HOUSE- DAY- JASON'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Focus on parents being affectionate with their children. A DAD has a
SON sitting on his shoulders. A MOM is holding a young DAUGHTER in her
arms. Kids are playing. Another DADDY towers over his BOY and
playfully gives him a nuggie on the noggin.

INT. HOUSE- DAY- JASON'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

A FIST, belonging to MR. VOORHEES, plows into the side of Jason's face,
knocking him to the floor on his ass. Beer from the can in Mr. Voorhees
other hand spills. We see Jason's mutated face for the first time-
rather large but yet smushed in on his right side, his right eye
practically closed, the right side of his mouth arched open revealing
his teeth. Jason remains where he has fallen (off to the side of the
television set) and CRIES like a banshee as his father sits down on a
sofa.

A 27-year-old woman, PAMELA VOORHEES rushes into the room and scoops
down to console her son. (We do not see her face).

				PAMELA VOORHEES
		What happened in here?

				MR. VOORHEES
He was blocking the T-V, stupid retard.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
		He's your son!

				MR. VOORHEES
		I don't give a rat's ass. I told you to
		get an abortion.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

CU up of Jason's rotting face.

Freddy picks up the hockey mask.

				FREDDY
		Here.

Freddy extends his hand to return the mask to Jason.

				FREDDY
Put this back on before you scare the
children.

Freddy waves his hand over, and looks around at the skulls on the ground.
Jason gives Freddy a hard shove that sends him flying back several feet.

EXT. SCHOOL PLAYGROUND- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

A young 5-year-old kindergarten FREDDY, circa 1948, is surrounded on the
playground by OTHER STUDENTS of the same age. All are taunting him.

				STUDENTS
Son of a hundred maniacs. Son of a hundred
		maniacs.

A tear rolls down Freddy's cheek.

			(wounded)
		Leave me alone.

another step closer.

				FREDDY
			(defensive)
What did I ever do to you?

A student pushes him.

EXT. SCHOOL PLAYGROUND- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

A young 11-year-old sixth grade FREDDY, falls to the ground surrounded
on the playground by OTHER STUDENTS of the same age. They are now still
another step closer, and are kicking and stoning him as well.

				STUDENTS
Son of a hundred maniacs. Son of a hundred
		maniacs.

Freddy gets up, fights his way through the crowd, and limps away as the
other students laugh.

INT. CONVENT- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

A 30-year-old woman in a habit, SISTER MARY HELENA, is kneeling down
with her hands on 11-year-old Freddy's shoulders, looking him intensely
in the eyes while a SOCIAL WORKER stands in the background.

				SISTER MARY HELENA
I want you to know I love you very much and
		that I always will.

CU of Freddy's face. ECU of his eyes. In his pupils we see the 18-
year-old Sister Mary Helena brutally raped by the 100 maniacs in "The
Tower."

We see the Sister's eyes well up.

				SISTER MARY HELENA
The older you get, the harder it is for me. . .
I know you aren't old enough to understand
now, but one day I hope you can forgive me.

She gives Freddy a huge bear hug.

				SOCIAL WORKER
		Come on Freddy. Let's go.

The social worker has a big smile on her face and holds out her hand.
Sister Mary Helena releases her grip. Freddy's head is drooped down
between his shoulders and he just stares at the floor.

				SISTER MARY HELENA
			(trying to be upbeat)
Go on now. Everything will work out for
		the best.

Freddy just stands there distraught, looking at the floor. This is
more then Sister Mary Helena can stand. She clenches her fist to her
face and turns away.

				SOCIAL WORKER
		Freddy.

Freddy turns and walks toward the Social worker, devastated.

				SISTER MARY HELENA
			(heart-wrenched)
		God forgive me.

INT. CLASSROOM- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

Young 11-year-old Freddy is near the back of the room with the class pet
hamster. The OTHER STUDENTS are gathered behind him.

				OTHER STUDENTS
Son of a hundred maniacs. Son of a hundred
		maniacs.

				FREDDY (V.O.)
			(internally)
		Maybe they'll finally SHUT UP if . . .

Freddy pounds a hammer into the hamster. The other students gasp and
scurry away.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy regains his balance, shaking his head a couple of times while
quickly closing and squinting his eyes. Freddy then sees a barrel of
oil up on the second tier.

				FREDDY
		Tough guy, huh?

Freddy darts up the stairs towards the oil as Jason picks up his
hockey mask and puts it back on. Jason then walks to the base of the
stairs when Freddy kicks the open container down. Oil splatters
everywhere, and all over Jason, while the barrel hits him and forces him
a few steps back.

EXT. CRYSTAL LAKE- NIGHT- JASON'S FLASHBACK

A young 11-year-old Jason, circa 1957, lays shivering in the fetal
position on the edge of Crystal Lake. He is SOBBING. Jason's hair is
still wet and his entire body is covered in slick black mud and
vegetation that once thrived at the bottom of the lake.

Camp is no where in sight. Jason wanders into the woods.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Jason mounts the stairs as Freddy eggs him on by moving his blades in a
"come here" fashion. As Jason nears the top, Freddy slowly takes a few
steps back, still bidding Jason to come forward. As Jason reaches the
top step, Freddy takes a large step back and slips on the spilt oil in
the process. Freddy hits his back hard as Jason hovers over him.

				FREDDY
		Oh Shit.

Jason quickly grasps Freddy by the sweater, raising him off the floor
and against some pipes. As Freddy tries to steady himself against the
pipes, Jason places his huge hands on either side of Freddy's head,
raises him off the ground in such a way that Freddy's claw is pinned
against the pipes, and begins to press inward.

We hear Freddy's skull CRACKING and soon see Jason's left thumb enter
the right side of Freddy's head.

INT. HELL- NIGHT- FREDDY'S POV- CONTINUOUS

Freddy looks down at Jason as different color spots ("seeing stars")
begin to impair Freddy's vision until Freddy completely blacks out.

EXT. FREDDY'S HOUSE- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

It's a beautiful summer day in 1965. In the shot are two well kept
houses and yards. At the house on the left, a DAD in his early twenties
is painting the left side of his house as his pretty 4-year-old GIRL,
with shoulder length blonde hair and wearing a white dress, rides her
RED TRICYCLE around in circles in her front yard.

Next door, a MAN in his early twenties is on his knees planting flowers.
In the corner of the left side of the screen, you can see a street sign
that says ELM STREET.

The painting dad is working his way to the rear of the house.

				DAD
Now stay here where I can keep an eye on you,
		hunny.

The girl rides in another circle. She then rides onto and down the walk
leading to her house, ignoring her father's instructions though he
doesn't notice. She then follows the sidewalk to the house next door,
right up on to the grass next to the gardening man- Freddy. He smiles.

				GIRL
		Watcha doing?

				FREDDY
			(kindly)
What's it look like I'm doing sweetheart?

				GIRL
		Plantin' Fowers.

A wide grin appears on Freddy's face, the kind of smile when adults are
amused by the words and antics of children.

				FREDDY
		That's right.

The girl gets off her tricycle to further examine, leaning in.

				GIRL
		They're real pretty.

				FREDDY
So are you today. What are you all dressed
		up for?

				GIRL
Me and mom just got back from church. Do
		you go to church?

				FREDDY
No, not in a very long time.

				GIRL
		No, my dad neither.

The girl crouches down next to Freddy.

				GIRL
		You need any help?

				FREDDY
Sure, but I don't think your Mom would want
you playing in the dirt in your nice white
		dress.

The girl giggles.

				GIRL
		I'll go get changed.

The girl hops on her tricycle and Freddy picks a flower and puts it in
her hair behind her ear. She is in awe.

				DAD
			(trying to hide irritation)
I thought I told you to stay over here, hunny.

Freddy smiles and waves goodbye as she rides back to her house.

				GIRL
		See you later.

The girl rides back to her house, right up to her dad with a smile on
her face.

				GIRL
			(excited)
I'm going to help Mr. Krueger plant flowers,
		Daddy.

He grabs her on the upper arms and shakes her up.

				DAD
What did I tell you about Mr. Krueger? How
many times now? STAY AWAY FROM HIM! I
don't want you with him. He's crazy. UNDER-
		STAND?!

The girl gets teary eyed and SNIFFLES.

				GIRL
		No.

The girl then turns around and runs in the front door of her house.

Her dad then makes his way towards Freddy. Freddy sees him coming,
stands up, and extends his arm for a handshake.

				FREDDY
		Hey, Bob. How are you?

Bob gives Freddy a push, the reaction on Freddy's face reveals
emotional anguish.

				FREDDY
		Hey!

				BOB
I DON'T WANT MY GIRL PLAYING WITH THE SON
OF A HUNDRED MANAICS! STAY AWAY FROM HER,
YA HEAR?! STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY!

Bob kicks one of the flowers, unearthing it and sending it flying
through the air, as he storms off towards his house SLAMMING the door as
he goes in.

Freddy shakes his head, disturbed by what just happened. He closes his
eyes and bows his head into his hand. After a few moments of shaking his
head he heads towards his own house. When he reaches the front step, his
WIFE appears in the doorway.

				WIFE
		What's the matter?

Freddy brushes past her into the foyer.

INT. KRUEGER HOUSE- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Freddy turns around and faces his wife.

				FREDDY
I don't understand it. All my life, this
"son of a hundred maniacs" bullshit. What
did I ever do to deserve to be treated like
a dog? Sure, after years of being torment-
ed just for being born, I thought I'd try
my hand at playing the part to give them a
little scare, so they'd leave me alone.
But that didn't work, and I left that crap
		back in my teenage years.

				WIFE
Is that what the commotion was outside?

				FREDDY
			(emotional)
You know how much I love kids, despite the
bastards from my childhood. They're inno-
cent, and not judgmental. And they're
real, not phoney. They say what's on their
mind. I'd never harm a hair on their pre-
		cious little heads.

				WIFE
I know, you're wonderful with children dear.

				FREDDY
I think it's time to move out of Springwood.
I'm sick of being held back, treated like
the town's dirty little secret. Can't get
a decent job here, everyone holding my
lineage against me. All I keep getting are
these crappy odds and ends jobs. And I can't
even keep them for long, before they're pres-
sured into firing me. I'm sick of fighting,
		it's no use anymore.

				WIFE
You have to stand up to them, show them
you're better then them. They're the ones
		with the problem.

Freddy smiles a weak smile and grab's his wife's hands in her own.

				FREDDY
		I know. But I'm tired. I want a fresh
start where people don't know who I am.
Start a family. I know we've been trying
for so long, but maybe if all these outside
stress factors are removed, in a new environ-
ment we can . . . if not, maybe we can adopt.

A big smile spreads across his wife's face and she squeezes his hands.

				WIFE
Hunny, I have some good news to tell you.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

For a moment, Freddy looks stunned and in disbelief, his jaw slightly
opened. Jason released his grip and Freddy falls to the floor. A small
piece of skull is loosely attached by skin where Jason plunged his thumb.
The brain in that area is exposed, a piece of his brain dangling. Freddy
pushes and pokes it back in and presses his fragmented skull back in place.

				FREDDY
		Whoa, what a mind trip!

Before Freddy has time to get up, Jason grabs his feet and starts to
descend down the stairs.

One by one, Freddy's head hits the steps as he is dragged down the stairs.

The fourth time he hits a step, Freddy looses grip on his fragmented skull
and again a piece of brain matter dangles.

EXT. KRUEGER HOUSE- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

Freddy returns from work and goes to get the mail from the mailbox. As he
looks at the mailbox, he sees the words "CHILD KILLER" written with red
paint on it. Freddy squints his eyes and clenches his teeth.

He proceeds into the house.

INT. KRUEGER LIVINGROOM- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Freddy enters the livingroom and a smile radiates on his face immediately.
His wife is on the floor with their 1-year-old dark haired DAUGHTER, the
daughter's hands wrapped around each of her mother's index fingers, helping
her to walk.

Freddy's daughter looks up at him and smiles and starts waving her hands
excitedly.

				DAUGHTER
		Da-Da.

Freddy laughs and picks her up, taking responsibility from her smiling
mother.

				WIFE
			(baby talk)
She's a quick learner. Just like her daddy!

Freddy's wife stands up.

				WIFE
		Did you see the mailbox?

Freddy's smile turns to sad acknowledgement as he nods. Then he starts
bouncing his daughter again.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy's head bops on another three steps.

INT. BASEMENT- NIGHT- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

A corkboard above a work desk is covered with newspaper articles on missing
and murdered children, the most recent dating 1970. On the table are
several psychology books from Craven County College. One of them is open
and Freddy's head is laying against it, sleeping.

His Wife comes down the stairs with a cup of coffee.

She places it on the work desk, and then gently nudges Freddy. He springs
up.

				WIFE
		Fred, I don't think it's such a good idea
locking yourself down here night after night.

Freddy grabs her arm sympathetically.

				FREDDY
I know. But I'm the town's obvious scape-
goat. The cops aren't even pursuing any
other leads. If they're not going to find
		the real killer, I will.

His wife pats him on the back. Fred takes a sip of the coffee.

				FREDDY
I don't think you should come down here
anymore. This is disturbing enough for me
to handle, I don't want you exposed.

His wife kisses him on the forehead and goes up the stairs.

Freddy looks at the articles on the cork wall.

				FREDDY
		What am I missing?

Freddy cocks his head to the side.

				FREDDY
			(reading)
"Four long gashes," "multiple parallel slits."

Freddy opens a drawer, pulls out a work glove, and lays it on top of his
book. He then looks over to one corner of the desk where a new article
lays cut out on top of a newspaper with a razor blade resting across the
top. He squints as he thinks. He then puts on the glove and grasps the
razor between his pointer and middle fingers.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy's head gets smashed on another 3 steps.

INT. KRUEGER LIVINGROOM- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

It's Christmas Day, 1970. A nice tree with many ornaments and lights is
in front of the window. There are many presents under the tree. Freddy
and his wife sit on the couch as their 4-year-old daughter sits on the
floor in front of the tree, surrounded by wrapping paper.

Their daughter grabs two presents, one with red wrapping and a green ribbon
and one with green wrapping and a red ribbon.

				DAUGHTER
		Here, it's your turn Daddy.

Freddy acts surprised.

				FREDDY
		Aww, for me???

His daughter nods her head and hands him the one with green wrapping first.

				DAUGHTER
		This one's from me.

She smiles as he takes it and starts peeling off the wrapping. He then
opens the box and pulls out a fedora, with an inquisitive smile on his face
(like "why the hell did you get me this?" mixed with "that's so sweet of you
hunny.")

				DAUGHTER
I know how much you like westerns, Daddy.
Now you can be a cowboy.

Freddy lets out a hearty laugh and puts it on, while his daughter smiles
cause she knows she's done good.

				FREDDY
And you can be my little indian.

Freddy grabs her and starts tickling her. His wife picks up the other
present and gives it to him. He unwraps it and pulls out a white sweater.

				WIFE
		I knitted it myself.

Freddy smiles as each of his arms engulf his family in a group hug.

				FREDDY
This is the best ever. I love you guys.

Tears of joy form at the corner of his eyes.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy plummets down the last of the steps.

				FREDDY
I only travel first class, retard.

With those remarks, Jason (still holding Freddy by the legs) swings Freddy
around a couple times, working up a fast and strong momentum, and then
releases him. Freddy goes flying and lands in a pile of bones, directly
staring into the hollow eyes of a skull only an inch from his own.

EXT. KRUEGER HOUSE- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

A brick CRASHES through Freddy's front window.

				BOB
COME OUT YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!

Bob, now in his late twenties, picks up another brick and throws it through
another window.

Freddy opens the door.

				FREDDY
		What are you doing, Bob?

Bob rushes Freddy and punches him in the eye.

				BOB
			(sobbing)
		YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER!!!

Freddy becomes as white as a ghost and sinks to the floor in shock.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy turns around, still on the ground, and scurries to get up before
Jason can reach him. However, his arm slips on a bone. Freddy grabs a
long bone in each hand and holds them out in front of him to form a cross,
the shadow of which is thrown back into Freddy's face.

EXT. CEMETERY- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

Bob is surrounded by grieving family and friends gathered around a casket.
They approach one by one throwing in flowers. Freddy, dressed in a nice
suit and wearing sunglasses to cover his black eye, stands beside a large
tree in the distance holding a the same type of flower he had put in her
hair 5 years ago. No one notices him. He begins to sob and then turns
and walks away.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Jason roughly knocks the bones out of Freddy's hands.

				FREDDY
Yeah, I didn't think that would work.

Jason proceeds to kick the crap out of Freddy.

				FREDDY
Didn't your mom teach you not to kick a man
		while he's down?

Freddy grabs onto one of Jason's legs and pulls it out from under him.
Jason hits the ground with a THUD.

EXT. CRYSTAL LAKE WOODS- MAGIC HOUR- JASON'S FLASHBACK

It's mid-Autumn 1957 and the leaves of the non-evergreen trees are pretty
shades or orange, yellow, and red. Pamela Voorhees is in the midst of the
woods, calling for Jason. She seems as mad as a hatter.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
		JASON? JASON?

Something catches her eye and she stops dead in her tracks. The reaction
on her face is priceless. Though she has been praying for a miracle for
months, she can't actually believe she got it.

There before her, crawled up into a dirty, messy ball inside an old hollow
tree is Jason.

She walks closer and bends down.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
			(softly)
		Jason?

Jason shakes off his slumber and opens his good eye. It is filled with
glee. A big smile forms on his deformed face, dried blood caked at the
corners of his mouth. He throws his arms forward and gives his mom a hug.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
			(on the edge of insanity)
I knew you would come back to Mommy.

She stands up and leads Jason, who is battered and bruised from his
inhospitable stay in the wilderness, by the hand.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
C'Mon. We need to keep you safe.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Jason gets up but Freddy is no where in sight. His hat is gone as well.

Jason begins to walk to the outer limits of the boiler room till his feet
no longer reverberate a MECHANICAL ECHO, but softly sink into dirt and
leaves. Suddenly a red tricycle flies through the air and crashes into
Jason's back.

He turns around, again Freddy no where in sight, picks up the tricycle and
smashes it against a tree.

EXT. CRYSTAL LAKE SHACK - MAGIC HOUR- JASON'S FLASHBACK

Pamela Voorhees is still leading Jason by the hand. She escorts him into
a crappy, hastily made shack in the middle of nowhere and closes the door,
though it does not shut tightly.

INT. CRYSTAL LAKE SHACK- MAGIC HOUR- JASON'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Pamela lights several red and black candles of all shapes and sizes. Many
already have curdled wax down the sides and building at the base.

The candlelight reveals a pseudo-altar on which the candles stand, as well
as a book- the Necronomicon.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
No one is ever going to take you away from
		mommy again.

EXT. CRYSTAL LAKE SHACK- MAGIC HOUR- JASON'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

RALPH, a man in his late thirties, is peering into the window from a
distance. Pamela's CHANTING can be heard filling the night air.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
		Klaatu, Barada, Nikto.

Ralphs face becomes ghastly, as he starts to back off, but not before
Jason makes eye contact.

				RALPH
			(mumbling to himself)
		A death curse.

Ralph takes a swig from his flask, runs a little, and then hops on to his
bike and pedals off.

INT. HELL- NIGHT- JASON

Jason walks in the direction from which the bike came. He sees an arrow
pointing ahead carved into a large tree. He continues walking and comes
upon another arrow, this time directing the viewer to the right. Jason
complies and continues walking. Jason finds another arrow pointing
straight ahead.

INT. HELL- NIGHT- FREDDY

Freddy, wearing his hat once more, is just finishing carving a "P" into
the bark of a tree with his glove. (The tree is large in girth but is
dead and only stands 15 feet high). He steps back and smiles. The
carving says "RIP" and is surrounded by a tombstone.

Freddy kicks some dirt and leaves over a chain which is padlocked on one
end tightly around the base of the "RIP" tree. The chain loops around an
extra time with slack, Freddy picking up the long end. He walks around
to the other side of the tree to wait for Jason.

Jason approaches from a distance, unknowingly passing a tool shed. He
walks up to the tree, close enough to walk into the trap. He then turns
around, his back practically against the tree.

The chain tightens around Jason's leg, and Freddy springs out from behind
the tree, continuing to wrap the chain around Jason another five times
before Jason knows what's going on. Freddy then fastens Jason in with a
lock on the second end.

Jason struggles to get free but is not having any luck. Freddy takes a
step back and laughs. He picks up a pine cone and places it on top of
Jason's head.

Freddy runs back to the shed and swings the doors open. The shed is full
of gardening tools as well as many that would be useful in the woods.
Freddy first grabs three hunting knives. And heads back to a comfortable
throwing distance.

Freddy throws the first knife. It slices into Jason's stomach, muddy lake
water oozing out.

EXT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE- NIGHT- JASON'S FLASHBACK

It's summer. Jason, now 12-years-old, is hiding behind a tree. He now has
long pants and a flannel shirt. He is also wearing a potato sack over his
head, with one eyehole cut into it. He looks up towards the second floor
of a cabin as he hears a GIRL COUNSELOR'S SCREAM.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy throws a second knife. This time it pierces Jason's knee.

EXT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE- NIGHT- JASON'S FLASHBACK

It's summer time again. Pamela Voorhees walks towards 13-year-old Jason
near the start of the woods, pouring a container of gasoline behind her.
She takes out a book of matches, breaks off one match and holds both up to
Jason (who is potato sack free, with shoulder length hair).

				PAMELA VOORHEES
Would you like to do the honors, Jason?

Jason smiles, strikes the match and releases it. The fire trail quickly
travels to several cabins, which burst into flames.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy releases his final knife and it whistles past Jason's ear and into
the tree.

				FREDDY
Missed again. Time to try something new.

EXT. CRYSTAL LAKE- NIGHT

It's summer time once more. Jason, 15-years-old, is wearing the potato
sack. He and his mother are in a rowboat in the middle of the lake. In
the boat are 3 barrels that read, "CAUTION: HANDLE WITH CARE." Pamela
tries to dump the contents of one barrel overboard but is having trouble
moving it.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
		C'mon Jason, help mommy.

Jason assists her and a liquid pours out.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
		That's a good boy, Jason.

We can hear Jason's MUFFLED LAUGH through the potato sack. A dead fish
rises to the surface of the lake.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy sticks two of his fingers on his left hand in the moist dirt on the
ground. He then raises it to his face and puts two marks under his eyes.

He beats his left hand against his open mouth while doing a brief Indian
chant. He then picks up his bow and removes an arrow from a sash on his
back. He takes aim and releases the string.

One plummets into Jason's chest, quickly followed by another.

EXT. CRYSTAL LAKE WOODS- DAY- JASON'S FLASHBACK

Jason, now 33-years-old, is standing in the woods. In the distance,
49-year-old Pamela Voorhees, wearing a light blue sweater, slices a young,
curly brown haired GIRL's throat who is pinned against a tree. We can HEAR
the girl's SCARED GASP.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy releases another arrow and it sinks into Jason's neck. Jason
struggles harder then before and starts to breath heavily. Another arrow
sails straight through Jason's bad eye.

				FREDDY
		Bull's eye!

Freddy LAUGHS.

EXT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE- NIGHT- JASON'S FLASHBACK

Same day as before. Jason stands in the archery range next to Pamela
Voorhees and watches as she shoots an arrow at a GIRL standing near the
targets blinded by bright lights. As she falls down dead, Jason excitedly
throws his arm in the air and cheers, as much as a mentally slow person can
anyway.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy hurls an axe at Jason. It hits Jason in his shoulder and Jason jerks
his head up.

INT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE BATHING CABIN- NIGHT- JASON'S FLASHBACK

Same night. Jason stands in the sink and toilet section of the bathroom
near the doorway to the shower section, the ceiling light above shaking. He
looks on as his mom walks out of the shower section holding a bloody axe, a
GIRL'S BODY on the floor behind her.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
You want to play a game Jason?

Jason nods his head "yes." His mother holds out the axe.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
Let's play hide the axe. Go hide it under
the covers on a cot in the counselor's cabin.

Jason takes the axe.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Jason shimmies against the tree, still trying to break free. Freddy
approaches the tree and, with the tip of a machete, knocks off the pinecone
which is amazingly still on top of Jason's head.

				FREDDY
		What do I win? Hmmmm...

Freddy rubs his chin.

				FREDDY
		How about a soul?

Freddy hacks the machete through the ribcage and into the heart.

EXT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE- NIGHT- JASON'S FLASHBACK

It is still the same night. Jason is in the woods. We hear a COMMOTION, a
GIRL CAT FIGHT. Through a clearing in the woods, he sees a wrestling match
between Pamela Voorhees and a GIRL with short red hair, both rolling on the
ground until it ends with the girl decapitating Pamela with a machete.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Jason, enraged, summons all his strength and tries to break free one more
time, shaking the tree in its very foundation.

Freddy steps back. Jason shakes the roots from the earth. Freddy continues
to walk backwards and Jason begins his slow, methodic approach forward.

				FREDDY
Can't we all... just... get along?

Jason bends his upper body down, torso parallel to the ground, carrying the
tree on his back. Jason begins to charge for Freddy like a bull. Freddy
begins to run too, away from the battling ram that is Jason.

Jason plows the tree into Freddy's back and Freddy is propelled through the
air, having a very rough landing when he makes contact with the ground again.

EXT. KRUEGER HOUSE- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

A 29-year old Freddy, opens the back door of his house.

				FREDDY
		Hunny, are you out here?

Freddy looks up as he passes through the door and see his wife's body mangled
in the backyard. He sobs as he runs to her.

				FREDDY
		Oh my God.

He picks her up in his arms, but there is nothing he can do. He rocks her
slowly in his arms, pressing her head to his chest, as he cries.

INT. KRUEGER FOYER- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

Freddy is sloppily dressed. He is standing, holding his 5-year-old daughter
in his arms. Both are gripping each other as if they know it will be the
last time they are together. Both have tears in their eyes, but Freddy is
fighting to keep composure.

A POLICEMAN stands behind Freddy and a SOCIAL WORKER behind Freddy's daughter.
The Social Worker puts her hand on the daughter's shoulder.

				SOCIAL WORKER
		It's time to go.

Freddy's daughter beings to cry uncontrollably

				DAUGHTER
		But I don't want to.

This remark makes waterfalls cascade from Freddy's eyes.

				FREDDY
		I know baby.

The social worker begins to pull her away as the police officer puts one
firm hand on Freddy's shoulder as a sign of restraint.

Freddy and his daughter continue to be torn apart, hands remaining locked
together until it is no longer possible to maintain their grip.

				DAUGHTER
		DADDYYYYY!!!

				FREDDY
Remember, princess, no matter what, I will
		always love you.

The Social Worker carries Freddy's daughter out the door, which SLAMS
behind them. Freddy jerks himself free of the policeman's hand, and wipes
his runny nose along the length of his shirtsleeve.

				FREDDY
I'm an innocent! Can't you see I'm being
set up? And then you take away all I have
		left!

				POLICEMAN
			(smug)
		Tell it to the judge.

Fred grabs his a light jacket and heads for the door.

				FREDDY
If you're going to sit on your thumbs, then
I'm going to track down that monster myself!

Fred goes out the door.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

The blow into Freddy's back has pushed the tree down Jason's back enough
so that one loop of the chain falls off and then Jason is able to free
himself entirely.

Freddy begins to stir, spitting out a mouth full of dirt. Jason reaches
Freddy as Freddy turns over. Jason stomps his foot down on the blades of
Freddy's glove.

INT. COURTROOM- DAY- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

The court is PACKED with PEOPLE. The Defendant, 33-year-old Freddy, is
standing as is his attorney. The judge looks at him sternly.

				JUDGE
Due to improper procedures, I regrettably
have no other choice but to let you go.
		You are a free man.

The people in the courtroom GASP in unison. A big smile spreads across
Freddy's face.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy pulls his hand out of the glove to free himself.

				FREDDY
IF IT DOESN'T FIT, YOU MUST ACQUIT!

Freddy lets out a diabolical LAUGH as he leaps up.

Freddy comes back from the tool shed with a chainsaw. As he starts it up,
Jason removes the machete from his chest for defense.

				FREDDY
		Time for a massacre.

The two jockey for position. Freddy has gotten Jason away from his glove
and he swoops down to retrieve it while wielding the chainsaw, keeping
Jason at bay. Unknown to Freddy, the chainsaw is leaking fuel down his
arm, though Jason sees.

Freddy goes in for a cut, but Jason blocks with his machete. A few sparks
fly on contact.

Freddy pierces Jason on one side, then another, shredding his clothes.

				FREDDY
		Are we having fun yet?

Freddy goes in for another slice, but Jason repels him with the machete,
holding the machete up with a hand on each end purposely grinding it into
the chainsaw to create a massive amount of sparks. Jason pushes back so
the chainsaw is over Freddy's head and closer to Freddy's body.

Jason's eye concentrates on the fuel dripping down Freddy's arm. Freddy
follows Jason's eye down, and Freddy's own eyes and mouth widen at what
he sees.

At that second, a spark flies landing on the arm of Freddy's fuel soaked
sleave. It goes out with a small puff of smoke.

				FREDDY
		Phew!

Just then, his arm spontaneously bursts into flames and soon his whole
sweater is. He shoves the chainsaw forward and releases it. Jason's
machete knocks it to the ground and Freddy backs off for cover.

EXT. POWER PLANT- NIGHT- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK

Freddy parks his car out side an old abandoned power plant. His window
is rolled down. He looks at the article in his hand "Springwood Slasher
Stashes Victims In Old Power Plant." The picture in the article matches
the building outside. He places the article on the passenger's side chair
next to a flashlight and then looks at a picture of his daughter and kisses
it.

				FREDDY
I'm going to find out who killed mommy
and then we can live happily ever after.

Freddy places the picture in his wallet. He grabs the flashlight, opens
the door, and gets out of the car. He looks at the ominous building and
shakes with the heebie-jeebies.

				FREDDY
		It's now or never.

Fred enters the building.

INT. POWER PLANT- NIGHT- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Freddy wanders around with his flashlight, looking around for clues.

He comes across a half of a sandwich, freshly made.

				FREDDY
			(to himself)
		Someone's been here recently.

There's a sparkle in his eye, a glimmer of hope. He turns and shines the
flashlight all around him as realizes he probably isn't alone.

INT. POWER PLANT- NIGHT- SLASHER'S POV- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

SLASHER sees beam of light coming in his direction and ducks behind an
obstructing object. Freddy wanders in a new direction in his hunt while
the Slasher peers out the window seeing a mob forming in the distance.

INT. POWER PLANT- NIGHT- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

As Freddy goes deeper into the power plant a SHADOW passes out another exit.

INT. POWER PLANT- NIGHT- FREDDY'S FLASHBACK- LATER

Smoke now begins pouring in and Freddy is COUGHING. He tries the exit the
shadow passed through earlier but it is jammed. He goes to where he
originally entered but there are already flames coming in under the door.

He goes to a window and breaks it. The metal frame won't budge and he
can't get through. He sees the mob outside.

				FREDDY
		Help me.

They all just stand there like statues watching. It dawns on him that
they were the ones that set the fire and a look of wretchedness comes over
him.

				FREDDY
			(in agony)
		For God's sake, I'm innocent. What's wrong
with you people?

Freddy backs away from the window to try and find another way out. But
it's too late, he is surrounded by fire.

				FREDDY
			(fear in his voice)
LISTEN TO ME! THERE'S EVIDENCE IN HERE AND
		YOU'RE DESTROYING IT ALL!!!

His face begins to melt. Some of the onlookers look away but the
majority still remain staring coldly at him.

				FREDDY
You took my childhood and I forgave you all.
But then you took my world away, my wife
and my child. Just finishing what you
started by killing me. YOU ARE ALL THE
SLASHERS OF THE WORLD, THE KILLERS. FOR
THIS YOU WILL PAY. I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE.
		I'LL BE YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!!!

Freddy LAUGHS like a mad man as he is consumed by the flames.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy is running, only making the flames worse. Freddy reaches a sandy
area, the water not far away. Freddy stops running, falls to the ground,
and begins to roll back and forth. Slowly but surely the flames begin to
die down. Jason repeatedly swings his machete at Freddy, but misses as
Freddy rolls from side to side.

When the flames completely die out, Freddy gets up.

				FREDDY
		Stop. Drop. And roll.

Freddy's sweater is now burnt rags clinging to him, some fused with his
melted skin, some dangling loose. The clouds above become darker then
before and it starts to rain.

Freddy heads out to the dock, Jason slowly pursuing him to the end of the
dock.

With no place left to go, the two men stare each other down. They walk in
a circle, each sizing the other up. Each admiring the other, but at the
same time, wishing the other dead. Freddy stands on the left, Jason on the
right.

Suddenly, a powerful bolt of lightning strikes the both of them sending them
up into the air and down into the depths of the murky water.

EXT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE- FLASHBACK

Eleven year old Jason is walking around in shorts and a camp T-shirt with a
smile on his face. He is trying to meet the other CHILDREN OF VARIOUS AGES
but is given the shaft, completely ignored.

Off away from the others, is a 15-year-old boy crouched down, knees against
chest, looking at the ground. Jason approaches. The 15-year-old catches a
cricket as Jason arrives.

Jason smiles. The 15-year-old smiles back, opening his hand to let Jason
see. Jason is impressed.

				15-YEAR-OLD
		They're good for fishing.

The 15-year-old nods his head to a jar holding a couple crickets on the
ground next to him.

The cricket jumps from the 15-year-old's hand. Jason is excited and goes
to recapture it. He succeeds and brings it back. As he goes to drop it in
the jar, he accidentally crushes it between his fingers.

Jason starts to CRY and the 15-year-old pats him on the back.

				15-YEAR-OLD
Relax buddy. It's not that big of a deal.
Plenty more where he came from.

The CAMP COUNSELORS blow a HORN, indicating all to gather.

				15-YEAR-OLD
		Let's go.

The 15-year-old stands up. On his shirt is a name tag, previously covered
by his knee, that reads "Hello. My name is FRED." They head off to the
gathering spot.

				FREDDY
I'm old enough to be one of those yuppie
		counselors myself.

As Jason tries to find a seat, everyone hurries past him and takes a seat
before he has the chance. Fred sits off to one side and Jason joins him.
Fred takes off his shirt to soak up the sun. Jason mimics him.

EXT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE- FLASHBACK- LATER

Some time has passed. Counselors break out in "Kum-Ba-Yah," and Fred is
dozed off. Jason sees a cricket and becomes excited. It starts hopping
away and he follows it. Fred wakes up to see Jason in the distance from
the corner of his eye and smiles. He closes his eyes again.

Jason wanders off, and is now following the cricket down the dock. Still
excited, he mimics the jump of the cricket, ultimately winding up in the
water, struggling to stay afloat.

Fred opens his eyes and doesn't see Jason anywhere in site.

INT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE KITCHEN- FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Cook Pamela Voorhees is preparing lunch. A RATTLING sound comes from the
cupboard. She approaches slowly when there is suddenly a loud BANG of
something falling inside.

EXT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE- FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Fred sees Jason drowning.

				FREDDY
		JASON'S DROWNING!

Fred runs down the dock with a life preserver.

INT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE KITCHEN- FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Pamela Voorhees opens the cupboard to find TWO COUNSELORS screwing around.
A smirk appears on her face as the counselors look like they got caught
with their hands in the cookie jar. An apparition of Pamela Voorhee's and
Mr. Voorhee's faces momentarily appear before those of the counselors.
Pamela's smirk quickly turns to complete and utter appall as the counselors
nervously giggle and scurry to fix themselves.

Pamela Voorhees runs out of the kitchen.

EXT. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE- FLASHBACK- CONTINUOUS

Pamela Voorhees exits the kitchen to find the commotion outside, following
it to the dock.

She arrives within seeing distance of the lake as Fred throws the raft in
the water in Jason's direction. But it's too late. Jason sinks and air
bubble stop rising to the surface.

				PAMELA VOORHEES
		JASON!!!

The counselors dive in left and right to try and find him to no avail.

INT. HELL- NIGHT

Freddy's head emerges from the water, GASPING for air. Jason also emerges.
Each pull themselves out of the water and up onto the dock, lying next to
each other on their backs.

				FREDDY
You know. Neither of us is going to win.

Jason's head turns and faces Freddy. Freddy gets up and offers a hand to
Jason, pulling him up.

				FREDDY
I'll stay out of Crystal Lake if you stay
		off Elm Street.

MS as Freddy puts his arm around Jason like they're old buddies and they
begin to walk down the dock.

				FREDDY
We're eternal. Stop wasting time fighting
each other, and together we can conquer the
		world!

MS from behind as Freddy has his gloved right hand positioned behind his
back. Jason holds his machete behind his back in his left hand. Both
slowly move their arms around as if to strike one another in a surprise attack.

CUT TO BLACK.
